We offer the removal of mould and inhibit it’s return. For the family living with a mould problem, we see little value in spending large amounts of money on identifying the scientific names of the thousands of various types of mould strains. The names are usually in Latin, are as long as your arm and are very difficult to pronounce! Most people ultimately want their mould problem gone.
There have been several studies conducted showing that essential oils effectively remediate mould and mildew. The specific blend of essential oils in our product targets the entire spectrum of toxic mould.
An indispensable part of our service to you is find out what is causing your mould problem.Once onsite, we assess the situation and investigate the cause of the mould. If water ingress is suspected, we can also use professional equipment to carry out moisture meter readings on suspect surfaces. After the job is completed we provide you with advice to inform you of what measures you may need to take to prevent the return of mould.
Because our mould removal and remediation product contains pure, therapeutic grade essential oils in significant concentrations, once it is applied to surfaces during the cleaning process, the essential oils diffuseand partly vaporise in the air as well as being on the surface itself. This vaporisation of the essential oils also helps to remove any unpleasant musty mould and mildew odours within the air and treat air borne mould spores.
If the mould infestation problem is severe, we also suggest a room fogging as well as cleaning and removing the mould from the surfaces. This two-step treatment provides a one-two punch knockout blow to mould in stubborn places and effectively deals with air borne mould.
We are able to remove and treat almost any surface including internal ceilings, internal walls and furniture.
Please note: We do not clean or remove mould on curtains, venetian blinds, stucco, carpet or rugs BUT we can fog these items or locations to remediate the mould and inhibit the return of mould. This best done after some basic cleaning has been done on such surfaces by a general cleaner to remove existing mould.
We can also remove mould on external surfaces up to and including the gutter level as well. We also offer roof void fogging as this is very effective in cases where mould on the ceilings has been caused by water ingress within the roof void (usually caused by leaks in the roof and/or condensation – such underlying issues do need to be fixed by a roofing professional to prevent ongoing issues). In these cases we recommend that the roof void be fogged to remediate any air borne mould spores within the roof void.
Our fogging treatment can be applied in any room within the home in addition to or instead of removing mould from internal surfaces if required.
We can tailor our service to deal with any mould problem that needs to be tackled.
In most situations we are able to carry out our treatment while residents remain in the home with minimal disruption to your daily activities.
In cases where a bedroom or other room is fogged you can remain in the home with the door of that room shut for three hours while the fog settles and dissipates. If the whole house or an open plan room central to the whole house (such as an open plan living and dining room) is being cleaned and fogged, you can remain in the home for the duration of the treatment up until open plan rooms are fogged at the end of the treatment. At such time residents would need to vacate for three hours to allow the fog to settle. Fogging such an area is a relatively quick procedure and residents usually remain in the home while rooms with doors are fogged first and then wait outside while the open plan rooms are fogged last (takes just a few minutes). At which time the fogging operator finishes and vacates the property at the same time as the residents.
Our cleaning product uses 7 essential oils with a coconut based surfactant. As surfaces are cleaned and the product evaporates on the surfaces, the essential oils and coconut based surfactant is left behind to inhibit the return of mould. The vaporisation also treats air borne mould spores. If required we can also fog inside the home when mould infestation is severe to make sure every crack and crevice is fogged and mould remediated.
We have treated homes that have had no sign of returning mould for over two years but this is variable depending on the state of repair of the location.
We fully back our works with a 6 month warranty and if mould returns in this time we will return to deal with it.
Our warranty does not cover flooding or ongoing water ingress within the property (these underlying issues need to be fixed within a reasonable amount of time). We also do not cover the treatment of blinds & curtains, soft furnishing, carpets or mould removal carried out on the exterior of the property.
When we are onsite, we investigate the causes of the mould growth. After the completion of the job we provide residents and property managers with recommendations on how to effectively deal any issues that may be contributing to the mould growth as well as any factors that need to be addressed to prevent it’s return long term.
